This week I had one of those simple but profound moments where God reminded me how He weaves His purposes through ordinary conversations.

I was talking with a friend who has a big vision: he wants to use outdoor climbing as a ministry. He’s passionate about bringing people into creation, building community, and using that space to point others to Jesus. As he shared his plans, he mentioned that he was looking to buy a climbing rope—an essential piece of gear—for about $300.

As he said it, something stirred in me. It wasn’t just a passing thought—it was a nudge. God prompted me: Why don’t you buy him that rope?

So I looked at my friend and simply said, “Why don’t I buy you that rope?”

The look on his face was priceless—surprised, encouraged, and deeply grateful. It wasn’t about the rope as much as it was about the reminder that God provides. In that moment, I got to be a vessel of encouragement, showing him that when God gives a vision, He also provides for it in unexpected ways.

I left that conversation feeling so excited—not because of a purchase, but because I know God is going to use that rope, those climbs, and those moments on the rock face to reach people in ways we can’t even imagine yet.

Sometimes it’s not about the size of the gift, but about being obedient to the Spirit’s prompting. A rope today might be the thread God uses to draw someone closer to Himself tomorrow.

I can’t wait to see what God does with this!
